What to expect on the day of experience

In this 3 hour class, you'll begin with a rod of steel and end with your very own, handmade bottle opener! We'll begin the class by putting on safety gear and reviewing safety procedures. You'll use traditional blacksmithing equipment (forges, hammers, and anvils) to forge a bottle opener from a rod of steel. Each step will be demonstrated and guidance/assistance will be provided throughout the class. Minimal strength necessary, though hand-eye coordination always helps.

Additional Information

This is a customizable experience. You may add on wine from the add-ons menu. We can arrange other beverages on request. Catering is also available at an additional charge (please get in touch with us for details). Free parking is available at the venue. Please note that participants will be using hammers to move hot steel. This implies that your arm may become sore from hammering! Don't worry, we've never had a student fail to complete a project. If you have any disabilities that may prevent you from standing and hammering for long periods of time, please let us know prior to scheduling.
